Materials
All Cavern Gems jewelry is nickel-free and hypoallergenic, which most pieces utilizing copper wire as the base. Some pieces of jewelry may contain additional materials such as glass, plastic, leather, resin, paint, coatings and other metals. How It's Made
STEP ONE:
PLANNING
Each piece starts with the planning process. This involves sketching the pendant and wire design. After that, I give myself 3 shots at trying to turn my sketch into a one-of-a-kind piece. If I'm successful, the product moves to the STEP TWO. If I'm unsuccessful, it's back to the drawing board.
STEP TWO:
PRODUCTION
Every piece of jewelry is different. Some are created using only wire, some contain glass beads, some need a special coating, etc. Because of this, the production phase doesn't look the same every day. This is the step where I create a number of successful pieces from STEP ONE. Though many pieces are similar, each is absolutely unique from the others listed on the site.
STEP THREE:
SHIPPING
When a guest purchases some jewelry, the shipping process begins. Everything is carefully wrapped to ensure no damage to the piece during shipping, and all orders are shipped within 24 hours.
